On July 6, 2021, Raynham Veterinary Hospital will begin a phased reopening for our clients. While COVID-19 is still a concern for all of us, with a decline in cases and wide availability of COVID vaccines, we are now comfortable that we can once again allow our clients back into the hospital for appointments.
There will still be strict safety precautions in place, and respectfully ask for your patience and cooperation. We want to provide the best care for your pet, while at the same time keeping our team members safe and maintaining the ability to keep our business open to serve our clients.
MASKS WILL STILL BE REQUIRED.
Since our reception area has limited space and our exam rooms do not allow for social distancing, all clients in the building will be required to wear a face mask that covers the mouth and nose. The mask must be in place before you enter the building and remain on during your pet’s entire visit, without exception. This applies to all clients.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT, PLEASE REVIEW THE HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES AND DETAILS ON THE PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES THAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT OUR HOSPITAL. YOUR COOPERATION WILL HELP US TO REOPEN SAFELY AND SUCCESSFULLY. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR PROTOCOLS, PLEASE CONTACT US VIA E-MAIL (raynhamvethospital@raynhamvet.com), OUR WEBSITE’S CONTACT US FORM, OR BY PHONE AT 508-823-8443.
- Please bring your own mask, which you will be required to wear at all times while you are inside our building – at entry and exit, when walking through our reception area, in the exam room, and in the restroom.
- We will welcome one** adult client to accompany your pet into the hospital for the appointment. This person must be 19 years of age or older and who will be responsible for making medical and financial decisions for the pet, as well as be able to provide relevant history and information for the pet. If this person does not have the information or authorization, we will require a “curbside” appointment (via phone) with an adult who does have this information and authorization.
- If you are making an appointment for a euthanasia, we will allow 2 adults into the building, following the safety protocols stated.
- When you arrive at the hospital for your appointment, please park in one of our numbered parking spaces, and call from the parking lot to check in with the receptionist.
- Then, please stay in your car. When we have an exam room ready for you, a staff member will put the number of your parking space in the front window. At that point, please bring your pet to the front door of the hospital and you will be escorted to the exam room. A text message may be sent if you do not respond to the number being put in the window.
- If you are bringing your pet for grooming, boarding, or daycare, you will be asked to bring your pet to the fence gate at the back of the parking lot on the LEFT side of the building. This will allow us to avoid people and pets closely congregating at the front door. One of the staff members will meet you inside that gate.
- If you still prefer curbside service, please let us know at the time you book your appointment.
- If you have any symptoms of respiratory disease, fever, cough, or shortness of breath or have had in the past 14 days; been in contact with anyone who has had a fever, cough or any shortness of breath in the past 14 days; had a positive test for COVID-19 within the past 14 days; or been in contact with anyone within the past 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, we will ask you to return to your vehicle, and we will do a “curbside” appointment for everyone’s safety.
- Our reception area will NOT be used as a waiting room during this first reopening phase.
- Please understand that there may be 2 doctors seeing patients at the time you arrive, and some clients may come and go before you are “called” into the building, depending on which doctor you will be meeting with and what previous pets’ health care issues were.
- During your pet’s entire appointment, please remain seated and respect social-distancing rules as much as possible.
- Dogs known to be aggressive must be wearing a muzzle and will only be examined if able to be adequately controlled by our staff without owner assistance. This includes those who have been given medications to reduce anxiety or fear.
- If you need to leave the exam room to use the restroom, you may certainly do so as long as a staff member makes sure there will be no close contact with other clients.
- After the conclusion of your pet’s visit, a team member will direct you to the check-out area at the front desk. Once your paperwork is taken care of, we ask that you leave the building by the side door exit.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL BE CONTINUING TO ASSIST CLIENTS WITH PET FOOD PICK-UPS AND MEDICATION REFILLS ONLY BY CURBSIDE SERVICE DURING THIS REOPENING PHASE. ALL ITEMS WILL BE PLACE OUTSIDE THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BUILDING ON A TABLE ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR PAPERWORK. CLIENTS WHO ARE ONLY PICKING UP FOOD, MEDICATIONS, OR OTHER PET SUPPLIES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE BUILDING AT THIS TIME.
We look forward to moving toward our former way of working with our clients. This will be gradual process, and we once again appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Please be kind to all the staff because without them, we would not be able to provide care for your 4-legged family member.
